Hey this is off-topic right?

I'm looking to buy a Christmas gift for a cousin. He's in middle school and looking for a set of two-way radios. The link he emailed me was out of stock.

Can anyone suggest me a decent set of two-way radios for under $50? My interests are ones that can get a bit beat up and can also be run on regular batteries incase the rechargeable ones fail.

In the music world I see mostly Motorola, he's more into outdoors stuff and chose a set by Midland. I never heard of them.

Thanks!

Hey Billiy,

Midland has been around since the '70s (maybe earlier) they were very big in the CB radio days.
Anything by midland, cobra, motorola, or uniden will usually do the trick.

Give this link a try it's the radio page for Bass Pro Shops.

I hope this helps.

Doc, Thanks! I went with the middle of the road set of Midlands. Waterproof and can run on batteries or rechargeable. Just needed to know Midland wasn't some new fancy packaged junk.

Sorry. My experience is limited to one-way radios.
