Any way to turn CDs blank again?

Sign in to disble this ad
I dont know if I have any more blank CDs in my house and the one I though I did have turns out to have ONE song on it.

Is there any way to remove it?

Thank you,
Sam.

Nope, multi-session is a possibility if the cd hasn't been finalized, but often won't play on a lot of players. If it's a CD-RW, yes, you can erase and re-use. I usually keep some CD-RW's for that purpose.

To the best of my knowledge and experience, no....unless it is a rewritable cd (which would have RW somewhere on it).

A lot of CD burning programs can erase a CD-RW. Check into it.

I think you can just highlight what's on the CD in explorer and delete. I think that's what I've done in the past with CD-RWs. But as Trevorus says; generally a burning program will have the erase option.

you can put it in the micey wave.. there wont be anything on it when you're done

but yea, cd-rw's have a different material in the layers that can be rewritten. because of this, the quality isnt always perfect, and they wear out over time.

If you own a Mac you go to Disk Utility, highlight the disk and click erase.

You would need a multi million dollar evaporation coating machine. It's cheaper to just buy new ones

Everything is.

The computer I'm typing on right now was built from fragments of other computers me and my tribe "aquired" on mansion and government building raids.

Damnit, I'd love to tell you more but I just knocked over a candle and this straw and dried mud goes up really fast...

Somehow this reminds me of that ancient joke....

A woman calls the family doctor late at evening and with a desperate voice tells the doc that there's an emergency. Their 4 year old have swallowed a Durex and tells the doc to hurry. The doc gathers his stuff and just as he's going out of the door, the phone rings again. The same lady then tells the doc that the emergency is over, her husband found another one.

Just my 0.02€
