I'm curious as to your thoughts on the new programming lineup. Personally - I think it stinks. I've sampled Sirius over the years, and there's a reason I've stayed with XM...since 2002, in fact. Channel 72 (Beyond Jazz) has been my absolute go-to, and it's one of the casualties of the merged lineup. I've got other beefs, but this is the biggie.
I'm trying to adapt, and I suppose I'll give it another week or so, but right now I'm leaning toward canceling my subscription. No sense paying for something I won't use. Anyone else have thoughts? |

It was my favorite Sirius channel. The DJ's made that channel IMO

Bummer for XM, but good news for those of us interested, they're moving on... http://www.russdavismoja.com/ |

I had a phone call from XM on Tuesday saying a letter explaining the changes is in the mail but I won't receive it until the end of the month. The changes started yesterday. Some stations such as the Boneyard are going off the air temporarily while they work their internal satelliate magic. Boneyard comes back on in January. Other stations are not so lucky. Many are bye bye.
I still could not go back to non-satellite radio unless things went really, REALLY off the rails. Regular FM or AM radio just plain sucks; other than the local news channel that I listen to.

Trying to email them sucks, I want to upgrade one of my radios so I have emailed them a couple times and have not gotten a response from them. |

| NOOOOO!!!
I have XM but its been awhile since I listened to it...this station and deep tracks are my bread and butter....they already took off the Jam station and made it online only....What the heck? is there any improv left in the new lineup? |

They changed the blues channel (BB King's Bluesville sucks!), the classic hardrock channel to boneyard, the metal channel to Liquid Metal, and the Vault to deep tracks or something like that. They didn't touch JamOn thankfully, and they better keep contact high (stoner and doom metal) and Bloody Roots (metal history) on Liquid Metal. And the Shemekia Copeland blues show on the weekends. |

I will miss Shemekia's show if it doesn't get picked up on BB's channel.
One thing I do like is that they took XM's Reggae channel over the one Sirius had, which I didn't care for.

But they added a King Biscuit show and a Friday night concert series, which might be pretty good. And they kept progressions. |
