Anybody a fan of the Retro Duo consoles?

Since we've all been talking gaming, I want to know what people's feelings are on Retro Duo consoles. I've been trying to break out my old cartridges now and again whenever my sister brings over her SNES (which her boyfriend got her way back), but those damn things either break or freeze or whatever and its just a chore to try and get my classic gaming in. Anyone tried the Retro's? I got a hankering for some original DK country.

I've heard that they are great. There are some games that they won't play, but overall they are worth it.

I have a SNES and NES, so I can't comment.

The blowing into the cartridge and crossing your fingers is part of the whole glory of classic gaming if you ask me. I've got my original SNES that I still have to cross my fingers on, try restarting a few times.

I think once you get into the Retro Duo territory, you might as well use an emulator.

My son could talk all of yer ears off (or read your eyes out) about retro game systems.
He has a NES, SNES, Atari2600, Odyssey '79,Xbox, PS1 & 2, Various gameboys and the latest DSi...he bought his own Wii last year..i dunno what else he's got but he's got it. The Atari & Odyssey doesn't work, we need the cable for the Atari that hooks to the TV. The old one was trashed. Can't find one on ebay either...

Chris's #1 is Crash Bandicoot, his first game when he was 4. But he enjoys the retro like the classic mario games. He's BIG on the mario stuff.

lol yea, but there's nothing like seeing the bright flashes of color from the cartridges attempting to start up along with a big descending 8-bit "crash" sound.
