Anybody go through bankruptcy Chapter 13? Advice?

One of my friends is getting ready to file Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Lawyer...excuse me, the paralegal (which is all you get to talk to apparently) isn't giving much info. Anybody gone through this? Any advice?
