The trailer looks awesome to me and I really like JJ and Spielberg.

Don't give me any spoilers, just a yay or nay if it's worth my movie money

Saw it. I enjoyed it. Kind of a nostalgic sci-fi flick with some Spielberg stylistic touches. It's entertaining, but not mind blowing. You could bring your chick along and get distracted copping a feel and then return to it and still figure out what's going on.

Well -
I am taking my girlie, but we are also taking my daughter and her daughter, so no touchey-feely during the movie for me. Both girls (and me too) love 80's Spielberg stuff (ET, Goonies, Close Encounters, Back To The Future, Gremlins, Etc.) and this looks like it has that kind of vibe, so I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks

Then you guys will enjoy it. It's right along those lines.

I heard it was decent, but that the ending kinda ruins the whole thing. A lot of people said there's a lot of nostalgia there that's cool, but it's definitely nothing original or super amazing.

Soooo... am I the only one who thought of Enfield's Super 8 pickup when they saw the title?

I've seen it...it has a very distinct Spielberg sci fi flavor to it. I think you'll enjoy it.

due to what the story consists of, thats about all you can really enjoy about it. Imagine basically trying to sandwich two stories that really don't belong together in the same film and you have a clue exactly what watching super-8 feels like.

I've stayed there once. I think they also rent them by the hour.

I enjoyed it. It had a nice nostalgia as mentioned above. It's got pacing that feels like an old school Spielberg film as opposed to the ADD material that's been more popular in the last few years.

I'd recommend it. Not life changing but worth seeing if the above descriptions sound appealing.

I saw it on Friday. I loved it! The drama, science, action, comedic value, the film within a film. I normally don't like movies where kids are the main characters, but they pulled it off nicely.
