Anyone with any knowledge or experience with gastric tubes / feeding tubes?

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with feeding tubes / gastrointestinal tubes?

First off, I am already talking with doctors, family members, and clergy about this, so I'm not looking solely for TB OT to be a source of expertise. But, I would like to know others experience with this for themselves, family members, etc. and how it turned out.

I have one now (feeding tube, G-tube) and should have it out soon.

So far only small complications with it. It does look invasive, but it is fairly comfortable. I've had it about a year and a half and have had trouble with clogs and some blood in my stomach to getting the inlets (for lack of a better word.) replaced. So far so good, but I will be a happy man when it goes.

Right now I'm having trouble with a broken screen and answer every call. That's if you decide to go with that option. I may have a new phone by that time too.

I've had some experience with it. It's pretty effective. Especially when a patient has a stoma, or has had a breathing tube for an extended period of time, or is having difficulty swallowing.
