Luckily for me my Uni building has in excess of 30 private shower rooms that are always empty, so I can wash up if I need to before going to lectures and seminars! |

Even better is that I save the money from gas to GAS :-). --Kent |

is there some kind of mountain street bike hybrid that i could get? its been years since i have done any cycling but with gas prices and G.A.S prices i could live with riding a bike instead of working solely to feed my car.

| | Yoyo's Hurt When You Crank It Into Your Face | | Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Cleveland Ohio | | | you can do as I do, and buy a mountain bike and put street tires on it.. I just ordered a set for daily commuting since I will be on paved roads.
If I feel like going for a trail ride just swap out the tires.. And go..
But 90% of the time I will be on paved roads so the street tires will help tremendously.
I just like the more heavy duty parts and size of a mountain bike versus a road bike.
BUT.......
You will encounter a new form of gas... LOL with parts/upgrades/etc.. I just put a new handlebar on today. I need to order some Sidi shoes so I can put my Speedplay Frog pedals back on. And I am looking for a new stem with a little more length and rise.

In fact, some of us racers have been targets of redneck/retards driving, even though we're using the shoulder and not in their way. Luckily I still put about 150 miles on my bike per week. I'd be able to add another 90 per week biking to and from work. |

Resistance and Effort.. Less Resistance = Less Effort

Pay attention to the pressure rating -- the higher the better in terms of reducing rolling resistance. |
