I try to do one every day, and like one in a local paper. I can usually crank one out in about 20 minutes and it feels good. Anyone else do crossword puzzles?

I also like to do the "British style" crosswords when I run across them from time to time. They have a lot fewer keyed letters and they don't really go after arcane words as much as they do challenging clues.

I do probably 3-4 a day as well as quote acrostics, Sudoku, and Kakuro puzzles. But my main puzzle is still the crossword, especially the larger harder ones like NY Times. But be careful of ones like the London times - they use language differently and the puzzle is hard enough for their locals, let alone yankees like me. The puns and anagram crosswords are cool too, but again, they tend to be quite hard. Diagramless run the gamut from hard to easy, although they can be a pain if you pick the wrong starting square and mess up the grid. |

(Great sudoku puzzles in the phone that is)

One thing I often need to remind myself of is that if you get absolutely stuck at some point chances are you have at least one word wrong somewhere, even if you don't think so. That's why I use a pencil, because changing letters with a ballpoint pen gets messy fast.
