Anyone else excited for the '10-'11 snow season?

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone?

Bueller?

I'm excited. If all goes to plan, I'll be back in the industry (riding for free!), so I'll be able to really have a quality season riding 3-4 times a week.

At least, if we don't get another suicide-inducing season like last year. Last year was, at best, meh.

So who else is pumped for a new season of skiing/riding?

For us guys with no snow, this should become a picture thread of crazy shenanigans and misadventures had in the snow.

Major +1

If I could afford the completely outrageous lift ticket prices, I might like winter more.

Actually, even then, I think I'd be done with the snow after about a month.

I'd be happy with endless fall. I am not excited for snow, I am really hoping my feet get better before snowfall or I'll have another hellish winter. (Last winter I broke my foot, luckily it healed before the huge storms).

i don't ski or anything (i tried cross-country for the first time last winter. it was exhilarating but kicked my @$$).

but i love snow! i shovel my long driveway by hand and i wouldn't have it any other way. i was in physical therapy this summer due to shoveling, but i can't wait to do it again. i find it wonderfully grounding to go outside at midnite (proper mental state encouraged) and shovel in the quiet. everything looks so beautiful when covered. i like to build snow creatures and labyrinths and stuff.

i spent 13 yrs in north cali missing snow (digging all there was to enjoy, but...). i love snow; i love cold. i can't wait!

Same here. And this coming from a guy who lived in Canada as a child and loved it. Then again, as a child I had none of the adult concerns listed. All I had to worry about was making snow forts for snowball fights.

NO... See my location. We have snow on the ground for 6-7 months a year.
I await "global warming" with hopes and smiles. But that is like hoping to catch Santa coming down the chimney on Christmas eve.

Just say no to snow.

Snow? What's that? I lived in Alabama for 22 years and saw snow ONCE (that was enough for me). Now I live in Florida where snow generally isn't a hot topic. More snow for you guys, right?

I don't ski or snowmobile or anything like that, but I can't wait for the snow. Hiking through the dunes and woods in a blizzard is a hell of a lot of fun.

Technically, my season starts on the 4th. Two weekends of free riding, and, if I get the gig, many more to follow.

Sort of. I'm not looking forward to having to share the road with a bunch of idiots who don't know how to drive in the snow.
