Anyone else getting bombarded with calls from 813 366 9800?

We are. I googled the number and it's for Neilsen TV ratings. Turns out they'll pay you $30 to track what you watch for a week. Cash, apparently.

I'll gladly take their money, but when I answer the phone, no one is there.

Frustrating.

It's probably some kind of automated phone call.

I've heard it's some kind of a tactic telemarketers use to find out when you are home. When you pick up the phone it gets logged what time during the day you picked up so an actual person can call you back around the same time. Could be total bunk though. I usually don't pick up any phone call unless I know who they are.

To answer your question. No, I haven't seen that number pop up on my caller ID.

I usually do the same(ignore 'em) until the amount of calls becomes rediculous, or the time of the calls, or both. Then I'll answer and keep them on the line 'til I know who the company is and make sure I'm put on their do not call list. Or have aenough wind blown up my skirt to make me think they'll do what i ask. Problen with a survey call is they arnen't subject to the Do Not Call list restrictions since they aren't selling anything.

Hopefully what you said is true and a person will make the next call. If I get a diary from 'em to track shows, I'll probably make up a list- nothing but Maverick and I love Lucy reruns, or something like that.

Usually have to call back to speak to someone in order to get on a do not call list. I've got my cable provider and another survey company calling dozens of times a week.

Well, they just called back...soon as they found out I wasn't Hispanic they thanked me for my time and hung up. no 39 bucks, nothin'.
