Anyone else into pen spinning?

Seriously, anyone? I've been casually into it for about four years, although I can't really do any advance tricks. Pretty fun to do at school when the teachers are talking.

Here's some examples:

That's pretty cool, Neil. Especially since he looks like a pirate in that shirt.

Of course, I didn't just say that...

I wouldn't say I'm into pen spinning per se but I'm most definitely into pen writing. I do it every day.

I'd never seen spinning a pen as something you could be "into".

Now if you're into pen TURNING..............

David Broadwell IS the man. A fine writing instrument is the crowning jewel of a distinguished gentlemans attire. I carry a Sharpie

Nope. I just hate teachers who lecture about nothing.

I think it would be cool to be able to do, but I can never get it going that fast. I generally will manipulate pens slowly while I'm thinking or during a lecture, but I could never approach that speed.

That kind of speed doesn't really interest me too much anyway. I think it's a lot harder, actually, to do it at a slower speed because you have to worry about getting enough momentum. But when it's smooth, it looks cooler than when it's just some blur.

Whoa, nice link. I generally carry a bali in the inside of my jacket, but I've never learned any manipulation techniques, I basically just use it as a very bare-bones, utilitarian pocketknife that happens to match my jacket really nicely.
