Anyone else ever have an illness that the docs just couldn't figure out?
I've got one of these going on at the moment.
About a year ago, I had a mad dizzy spell while driving. I got my truck pulled over, tried to get my get a hold of myself, and ended up calling emergency because I couldn't get it together.
I went to the hospital, and the docs checked for everything - no signs of heart attack or stroke, blood sugar was good, oxygen was good... just an anomaly. Since my vitals were okay, they kept me overnight and sent me home the next day... still dizzy.
Since then, the thing has never gone away.
I've seen every "ologist" you can think of - 22 different doctor visits in the last year. Pokes, prods, imaging and scans of every kind.
Everything checks out okay. My brain, my ticker, my blood, my eyes and ears... everything's good and healthy. I even went to a shrink (at the docs' suggestion) and tried some crazy pills, but nothing worked. The next stop is the endocrinologist to make sure it's not some kind of off-the-charts glandular disorder.
And of course, every new string of tests is another bill to be paid.
I guess the upside is that it's pretty nice knowing you don't have MS, lupus, AIDS, heart disease, brain cancer, mesothelioma, lyme disease, SARS, leprosy or crotch rot.
The downside, of course, is that quality of life still sucks in general. I still can't drive, always feel dizzy and light-headed, and it's been a pretty big burden on the lady and the kids. I'm still staying optimistic, but the stress and mental fatigue is setting in more as time goes on.

. | Anaemia could cause that, too. Also, you could try to see if the feeling is triggered, or accentuated by certain moments. Dizziness and the occasional fainting can come from your brain too.
During a really bad period, I had a week or two where I was so sensible to irritating noises (people chewing, especially) that I basically had the choice of getting up and hitting the source, or keeping silent and (almost or completely) fainting.

I don't know if anything like this has been done before, just an idea I had..... |

(I say go for it!) | I'm pretty sure the next chapter is about being held for years in secret quarters.
