Anyone find it odd/funny...

That there is a Toyota ad touting dependability showing here in the forums in the middle of a massive recall?

I find it funny that there are still people out there that use internet browsers that don't block the ads.

The vast majority of Toyota vehicles on the road today are very dependable. The current recall is related to an issue affecting a few recent models.

It's not funny to me. We paid top dollar for my wife's Camry and now all of that vaunted Toyota "resale value" is right down the shi**er.

We could have bought a Hyundai for thousands less and had a better car.

And BTW the gas pedal and brake things aren't the only quality issues on newer Toyotas. The paint job on my wife's Camry is total garbage. The car has 38,000 miles on it but the paint job looks like about 80K.

I find the trend with new browsers that don't let you rearrange things at will to be a disturbing trend.

It seems to me that Toyota has done an ad blitz to remind people that the cars are still great, despite the recent isolated issue.
