From my understanding when you cancel service they send a signal to de-activate the subscription. If it's not on when they send the signal, it wont deactivate.

I've had a few friends receive free trial offers of Sirius and XM radio for their cars that simply never ended after their trial period. One has actually had it for about 3 years now. I'd say just enjoy it while you have it.

Which will likely be the life of the radio since I am sure after that long they are no longer sending out the deactivate signal for you. My stiletto2 just died. I bought the 4 year replacement from Best Buy, but of course it is discontinued and they no longer make a suitable replacement of ANY kind

I got fed up with them for a few reasons recently and canceled my service after maybe 5 years or so. I do miss it, but it's not longer worth the cost, IMO.
