| Anyone here use a Virtual Office/Executive Suite?

Back story: My company has recently decided to merge and grow our New Orleans office. Unfortunately those making the decision didn't take into account the fact that I work there anywhere from a few hours to 20 days/month. On top of that, the location is incredibly out of the way for the parts of town where I do my field work. That said, my direct manager and the co-president of our company (the one board member who actually understands what my department does) both have brought up that maybe I should look for a virtual office some time while I'm working in New Orleans that better suites my department's needs.
Anyone here use virtual offices? What is your opinion of the arrangement and what are the pros/cons you've experienced?
PS. FWIW, I can usually get by spending 5-6 hrs/week actually in the office, so the 30-40-hrs/month office allowance I see from several of the providers isn't a big deal.
