Anyone know where to get 4 in. vinyl dentil block?

Sign in to disble this ad
We're adding on to our house and extending a wall that has 4 in. bright white dentil block along the bottom of the soffit. Our contractor can find all of the 6 in dentil that he'd ever need, but can't find 4 in. dentils.

Anyone have any ideas of where to look for it?

Thanks!!!

Worst case scenario, make it.

That's how they originally did it.

I did a search for "white dentil block", and your thread came up first on Google!

Will this work? 4"W x 4"D x 4"H, Dentil Block, Urethane.

Thanks Mike,

On that same site, I'm looking for this stuff (but I'm told it needs to be 4 in. tall):

http://www.architecturaldepot.com/c/...r-dentil-trim/

I should just get out the ladder and take actual measurements of what we have (that we need to match) and then look around instead of relying on the contractor's general comments and try to do his work for him.

The exterior of our home was redone after a nasty hail storm in 2000. In an attempt to have the addition match the rest of the house, the contractor had to get shingles from half-way across the country, he found that our siding color has been discontinued and he can't figure out who supplied the dentil molding. The bipolar guy who did our siding won't return his calls and probably doesn't remember anyway.

OK, gotcha. I'll do some asking around.
