Anyone really savvy on the new iPods? I have a question.

How do I manage my cover flow? Most of them are in order, but then after I get to the end of the alphabet, there's album covers that are out of place and there's duplicate covers.

I know it means nothing, but I'm kind of an anal librarian when it comes to my ipod. I can't sleep at night.

Album cover is part of the information included within mp3 tags. If a cover isn't shown properly, chances are that the mp3 tags must be fixed before sending the files to the iPod. If the problem is affecting just a couple of files, you can fix them with Winamp: Open the file, right click on its name and click on "View file info". You'll see a "cover" tab where you can load the appropriate image file. But if you need to fix lots of files, you need a mass tag editor. I use this one and I'm very happy with it.

Hope this helps.

Duplicate covers are because the iPod (and iTunes) are recognizing two albums (either because the spelling is off, or because one thing is not the same between the two)

The ones at the end, are like what? 311? Numerical bands? Compilations?

Could you give a tad bit more detail?

I think it is because they're checked as compilations. I'll see if I can uncheck the compilation box to put them back where they go.
