Yep I'm watching it. Seems like a good game, but I'm a total newbie to Ice Hockey. Canadian goalie seems to be having a great game so far, so the USA aren't taking advantage of the powerplays.

I just can't get into woman's hockey. It's like watching a game in slow motion.

Really? This particular game is fast enough that I'm having trouble following the puck. But like I said I'm new to this......

The hits definitely aren't as big but that's to be expected.

Just a preview for the men hopefully.

P.s: I love hearing Canada's anthem, especially when hockey is involved!!

You need the thing our southern neighbours tried out unsuccessfully. The TV coverage featured a little "bouncing grey aura" surrounding the puck so that a BLACK puck could be seen easily on the WHITE ice.

regular mens pro hockey is much faster when played right.....the players have become huge, and it has slowed down as there is less room on the ice......but it is still a lot faster than the womens game

Hitting isn't actually allowed in the woman's game. Although it still happens a bit. Oh, and if you think this is fast, try watching a box lacrosse game.

Yes, they play in the buff and on a rink partially filled with Jello. No wait, that's just a recurring dream of mine. I always get confused with what's real....

BTW, instead of blasting the regular air horn sound at the end of the final game, they should have played this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A

The celebration seems to be what's dominating the media here in the US. Their drinking of beer and champaign and smoking cigars has raised some eyebrows. I guess that's not considered Olympic behaviour??

I suppose it's because they were drinking and smoking while on the ice.
