I'm not sure exactly if this is based on anything more than anecdotal evidence from that guy they talked to, but it's interesting none-the-less.

God, no! It's about all we have left! I'm gonna do my part to make sure we stay on top and eat a Baconator for lunch every day.

Well, as usual, the US is just ahead of the curve. Now as everyone else gets fat, we'll be getting thin and healthy again. Enjoy your fat, foreigners.

That article has no actual evidence in it whatsoever. Its just anecdotal from one guy. I think most stats I have seen concur that the rest of the world is getting fatter, but I have seen nothing to indicate that America is in any danger of losing its place near the top!

BTW UK Number 3 Good work!

It also doesn't have a single argument or example as to how Americans are slimming down. The whole world may be fattening up but that doesn't make Americans any slimmer or healthier.

For now I'm willing to bet that the average American is way bigger (sideways) than the average Asian and will be for a very, very, very long time.

That's almost certainly true, but the real issue / cause for concern isn't that Americans are fatter than everyone else, but that everyone is trending towards getting fatter the world over. If Americans are getting thinner than is great, its a shame that its not a worldwide trend.
