Anyone have ideas of things that might be coming out alongside the iPhone?
Does anyone even care? |

But it looks like they will address some of the things that are my biggest complaint about it. Not being able to copy and paste and control the files on it. |

bc | Oh crap. It's close. Oh man. Is there a way to find out when you activated it?
I'm pretty sure it was before. Sigh.

The headphone jack is about the best improvement, but I have that covered as I bought Etymotic Hf-2's for mine (if you haven't thought about these, start thinking, there is no better headphone for your iPhone). That said, if the cost of upgrading is minimal (mines an 8gb), the extra 8gb might be worth it as I am always running out of room!

When they get VZW support, I'll be making the switch to an iPhone, but until then, I'm GASing for a Blackberry.

The iPhone is a GSM phone, and hence totally incompatible with CDMA networks like Verizon and Sprint. How's the T-Mobile reception in your area? It's fairly trivial to unlock an iPhone to work on T-Mobile, since T-Mobile uses a GSM network... |

I have/love t-mobile... my sidekick is serving me fine for everything I need though...
But I do think it's hilarious that the email I got from apple phrased it as:
"Twice as fast. Half the price."
Should make the people that went and camped out for day one feel accomplished :P. Gotta love how fast technology advances.
Maki, I hope you can trade yours .

I suppose it never stopped Motorola, Blackberry, LG etc though, who've all made CDMA versions of their major models. |

I've used AT&T/Cingular, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint/Nextel. Verizon was BY FAR the worst. Right now I carry my AT&T Treo and Nextel Blackberry. If Blackberry would add the Push-to-Talk feature to the Curve, I'd definitely love to upgrade the work phone. As for the personal phone w/ AT&T: I'm seriously thinking about switching to the iPhone. I'll probably go for the trial period with both the new iPhone and new Treo before deciding.
