Apple Tv questions

Sign in to disble this ad
im thinking about ditching comcast cable in favor of the apple tv

can i have just one unit for 2 different tv's? I have a tv in the bedroom along with one in the living room

would getting a computer monitor with either a dvi or hdmi input be just as good as getting a regular tv for this thing? It would be way cheaper to buy 2 computer monitors than 2 tv's

it looks like boxee would allow me to have an interface to choose hulu, hbo and others. Could i watch tv as its happening like say family guy on fox when its airing on regular tv?

I don't know if networks broadcast their content simultaneously on their websites or on Hulu, and I believe stuff is available on iTunes the day after it airs on TV. AFAIK, you would only be able to use the aTV with 1 TV or monitor at a time. You could do a computer monitor, just don't forget about speakers. I love my aTV, and there is a great app for iPhone and iPod Touch for controlling it.

I like the idea of ATV, but don't know if I would consider it for replacing a content provider. I really don't like the idea of having to down load Family Guy, for example, when I know that at 10 it's on Adult Swim. But, maybe the idea is that for something like $2 an episode, I may save money over cable?

Would something like the Mac Mini work better, if you could have a computer near your TV? That way you could have access to more than just iTunes.
