But it doesn't seem any worse than alcohol (take into consideration my non-usage comment). I would rather be driving on the road with someone who had smoked pot than someone who was a drinking. In my opinion, the government should legalize it and use that tax money to start paying down our massive debt. |

Actually, personal use is legal, but buying it is illegal. Go figure.

Broccoli isn't an intoxicant; it's quite the opposite - it's damn good for you! |

i'd bet that a lot of places will decriminalize pot usage now that they don't face reprisals from dc.......the previous government here was threatened with a huge tightening of the u.s. the border when they tried decriminalizing it here

I think they'll be blazing something else too
I'm glad to see that our society is beginning to realize exactly how arbitrary the past criminalization of marijuana is. It had nothing to do with safety. I give it 10 years in the majority of Western nations, at most.

Not saying its good for a person but look at what alcohol does to a person - pot is really tame comparatively speaking. Plus we have these people actually doing time for a little pot on the tax payer dime.
Legalize it and tax it. THAT's a tax I'd support |
