I read somewhere that the bridge and PU covers on early fenders were actually inspired by the design of cars at the time... truth!

Would why someone play a bass with that many strings? Really, it's not even a bass anymore.

Every time I see the Bongo, I can't believe that BMW designed it.

That being said, having played a bongo and driven saabs, I concur wholeheartedly.

Both times were like this:
"this looks weird... and feels kind of strange... oh... oh this is nice..."

Been hooked on Saabs ever since, and I would totally have a bongo as a studio bass.

The P Bass to me is like a small block Chevy. Pretty much unchanged since the mid 50's, fits in just about anywhere, is the standard that most are compared to, and both are easily upgradeable with simple bolt on parts.

Timeless design, pure class, the quality standard by which all others are judged and capable of taking you wherever you want to go in real style.
