Associating with Rakes

Do you? Or do you prefer the modern convenience of a leaf blower? I personally use a strategic combination of both.

Nothing like the noise from an entire neighborhood of power tools going all weekend long, to really say "suburbia."

I use a rake.

I actually have a rather quiet electric leaf blower

I killed a leaf blower after running it all day. But we don't need a rake where I live (prarie).

I prefer to associate with cads and heels. Rakes are too bourgeois.

I prefer a close association with my landscaper. He has all the cool toys to keep my yard looking great. At $150 per month it beats the hell out of keeping and maintaining all the equipment and doing it myself.

Rakes - there is a reason I bought a house with a relatively small yard. Even so, I'd say that half of my neighbors use landscape services with the blowers that look like 100 HP outboard engines strapped to your back.

I don't have time to use a rake, I've got to get to the gym.

Use a rake and leave some leaves to feed your lawn with by using a mulching mower.

rakes are punks, i prefer mulchers....or at least a bagger...

i got an old snapper bagger, that thing rocks....it doesn't have that stupid "auto-throttle" that dies every time you hit a lump of clovers...i hate technology sometimes!! just leave it alone!!!

I'm sorry, but I just think that leaf blowers are one of the dumbest inventions ever. I could see if it actually sucked up the leaves, but it just blows them around. I've always found racking to be one of the least labor intensive yard chores anyways. Do people really need gasoline powered engines to put leaves in a flippin' pile?

When every square inch of your yard gets covered with 6 inches of leaves, you begin to see the good in a leaf blower . And as I said earlier, electric leaf blowers are a good alternative to gas ones.

I use a combination of a mulching mower, gas powered leaf blower ('lectric don't cut it in my neighborhood, you should see all these damn trees), and a rake. My local township runs more leaf collection than snow plowing. I'm not opposed to throwing the odd pitchfork in here and there, either.

I found all the people in Rwake to be really friendly, courteous, and awesome live... So yes, I'd associate with them.
