I'm a daywalker. It isn't by choice obviously. But there it is. Anyway, I've been thinking (sue to the hot redhead thread) about my dating life thus far. I've dated all flavors of women (i.e. white, black, asian, hispanic, etc.). And I was thinking; and while I've dated plenty of white women (was married to a white woman for a bit) it seems to me that hispanic women more than anything else are into redheads. My current g/f is hispanic and she told me that she has a preference for redheads. I've heard that a lot from hispanic and black women. But I've never heard a white woman admit to a redhead preference (although I've dated tons of them). Any other redheads out there experience this?

Cherie | Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering this. The term makes me think of Wesley Snipes.
BTW, Cherie... I had a dream about you a few nights ago. Seriously. Actually, in the dream, a bunch of TB'ers were hanging out at a Bass Bash and I was chatting with you and Maki. It was pretty cool. I suppose the weirdest part is that it was a situation that included Maki and a woman... and no sex. LOL.

Speaking for the distaff side...
I've never had any real preference towards men with a particular coloring. Hair color and texture doesn't mean much to me. Either I find a guy to be good-looking, or I don't. Never dated any redheads, but that's because I never met any that wanted to go with me. Maybe they were shy? I was real attracted to a couple of red-heads, in my 20's, but one was not interested, and one was married, so I left him alone.
My hair has darkened with age, but when my husband met me, it was a bright auburn. (Its very dark now...you can only see the red when light shines on me.) He asked me to dance with him to a blues jump called "Red-Headed Woman". He later told me that the song gave him a perfect excuse to ask this pretty red-head to dance, and see if he could keep my attention. Sweet!

</sidetrack> | Wouldn't it be cool if dreams came true? I'd love to come to a Bass Bash and visit with y'all!
Maki, a female, and no sex? It had to be a dream...that could never happen in real life!
LOL!

Cherie | I've never met a white woman who had a preference for redheads. Even former girlfriends admitted that red hair is a turn off (I guess I'm just really that charming ). But I've dated several black and hispanic women who have told me that they have a strong prefeence for redheads; especially hispanic women. An ex g/f of mine from college, who was biracial (black/white) said that she couldn't control herself around redheads. Before I met her, we talked on the phone (she was a friend of a friend...he passed out on the phone with her one night; I picked it up and said hello...we hit it off) anyway, while talking on the phone to her that first night; we got on the subject of what we were attracted to and she said that she was wild about redheads. This was before she knew what color hair I had. A few weeks later, we met and she was kinda throwing herself at me. I don't know if it was because I'm a daywalker or if I'm just that charming. But it seems that it's usually been the black and hispanic women who are really into redheads...at least in my experience. Not that I'm complaining...I just wonder if other redheads have had similar experience.

Their mothers or grandmothers must have preferred redheads!

OT though, I've dated mostly white chicks, and it seemed like they really didn't care about that or didn't notice (my hair is really dark almost brown, but still red) until later. most of the time women can find something else about me that they don't like besides hair color | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
