attn Black Ops players..to prestige or not

I am on lv 49, so one more to go, and I can prestige

However, my bf (who also hit lv 49 like min before I did) and I have decided NOT to. We don't want to lose our hard earned stuff, just for a title emblem and a few unlocked advantages.
Who here that plays have already prestiged/made lv 50. Did you prestige?
I know in previous COD games, if you get to the end level, you have to choose yea or neigh right at that moment. Is it the same way in Black Ops? Or can you decide later to prestige?? I don't think to decide right then and there is right, I think you should be able to go back and decide later.
What are your pros and cons on prestiging?? And what levels are you on now-and how many time have you prestiged (if ya did already)?

No you don't. I'm really hungover, so I can't be bothered recalling with complete accuracy (or possibly correct names), but you had to select it from the barracks or something like that. Point is, you didn't have to decide on the spot.

Mind, this is based on Modern Warfare 2. I don't have enough experience with the others or not to know if this was a continuation or an introduced feature beginning with that game.

I've prestiged once and I won't again. I did it for the one extra class which I really don't need but like to have. It take some work to get all those pro perks and frankly, it's a really annoying experience to repeat in Black Ops. Modern Warfare 2 was much more relaxed in that regard, which I liked.

Same here. I'm at level 45 1st Prestige and I have no plans to prestige again.

If You Wanna Be Awesome....Prestiege. COD Gets Boring Very Quickly Playing The Same Guns And Classes(Sure You Would Be Again If You Prestieged...But Why Not Earn Them Back?) Anyway..Thats The Replay Value They Are Talking About.

I did it, but only for the extra class, as I found there was alot of good weapons combos and wanted the room. It's not nesscessary though.

I always Prestige, at least once. Honestly, having all the best weapons gets boring... I like the challenge of earning everything again. I've got more skill and familiarity with the game the second time around, so ideally it'll happen quicker the second time.

Needless to say, I'm a 46 now, and can't wait to prestige.

Prestiged once, I'm gonna chill here for the foreseeable future. Your basically screwed until you get to 14 again and get the famas. Abd you have to choose to do it in the barracks.

Me and my boyfriend hit 50 within minutes of each other and kept playing. We discussed this last night, about prestiging..we might just do it, just for the challenge. I told him who really know what level we'd be on by now had we prestiged. In Black Ops it's only to 50 anyways...in the other COD's it to lv 70, so we are probably gonna prestige later. Why not. Although I am gonna miss my Commando gun...

We did it last night..it was funny cause we both sat there, with our finger on the A button.my boyfriend at his house and me at mine, and we were talking private chat..we sat there for a minute or two then did it. It was strange at first cause you get habit of going to your classes and stuff..and it is gone. Well was, we both are like at levels 15 and 16..I told him to imagine what level we would be on if we prestiged when we first hit level 50...
