That is a beauty, too true, but this remains my favorite:

AUSTRALIA GETS DRUNK, WAKES UP IN NORTH ATLANTIC

Over 20 years ago, I had a Kiwi mate taken out on a buck's night in Auckland. They got him royally p***ed and put him on a plane. He woke up in Sydney with no passport or shoes.

The stupid bastards tend to hop out in front of you with no warning.

I agree it's horrible. Buggers are like hitting concrete and dent the hell out of your vehicle.

and if it's a big red, then they tend to hop off like nothing's happened.

Wombats are a bastard as well, i've seen many a car missing a wheel /brakes / strut from tagging one of those bad tempered little things!

Too right about the reds. But enough momentum and a good bar will work.

Wombats I think of as sump-f***ers.

When I lived in Darwin the local rag, the NT News consistently had great headlines. It was always stuff like 'Man arrested for biting Crock' or ' Crock eats Chainsaw'. I wish I'd kept some of them, you couldn't make them up. And crazy stories like people wading thru Fogg dam, which has more snakes per square meter than anywhere on the planet (really) and standing on crocodiles.
