Yesterday was a good day. There was a bipartisan apology delivered by the PM to the Indigenous people of Australia for the forced removal of children from their parents, aka 'the stolen generation'.

After the global madness that seems to stream endlessly from my telly it sure felt good to see something positive, decent and sane for a change. For me it was also a reminder of how fast things can change in a democracy - the new government was elected 11 weeks ago. Democracy in action.
