Avoided a big branch going through my windshield

Just happened to notice a huge branch dangling in the tree above where my truck was parked. It was a dead branch, loosened by the really heavy winds we're getting right now, and was just dangling like a guillotine blade, ready to put a hole in my windshield. I jumped outside and put my truck up the driveway, and just a minute or two ago, it fell as predicted. That sucka is HEAVY. Woulda ruined Christmas and my checkbook for sure.

I'll chop it up tomorrow. The main section of the branch is around 4" diameter. WHOAH and another gust outside just made every joint in my house creak! This wind is scary!!!

This is 80's death metal music video quality wind.

I'll better you that. 74 degrees here. Slight offshore flow. Perfect for surfing.

-35 celcius with the windchill. Winds were at like 30 km/h today. Plus snow.

I avoided a snowdrift caused by a plow this morning. Good save on the tree though- I wouldnt want to be dealing with insurance around christmas time.

It's been beautiful and sunny all day here, just a few clouds and about 20*C.

Good save with the truck. I bet it was one of those "Environmentalist Trees" and was planning to smash your truck to remind you tha you shouldn't be adding tons of co2 into the atmosphere from that big SUV and that you should buy a Prius.
