Why does it say, "Ironically, the creator (and slasher) of the baby cake shown above and below is Dan Gentle, a talented cake sculptor?"

What's ironic about a cake sculptor making a cake?

Woah.

So there goes my nice little plan to sleep tonight.

PS. I think the irony is in that his name is 'Gentle', but he just did a pretty good impression of cutting up a newborn.

I disagree that there's any irony there. Not only is it my opinion that a name cannot induce any irony related to the actions of one holding that name, but it's easy to gently cut a baby cake.

Anyway, I would love to cut and eat a baby.

That is seriously creepy. Just looking at the cake feels weird. I watched 20 seconds of the video and had to turn it off.

the song "Mutilate the stillborn" by Necrophagist immediately comes to mind upon watching this.

Now babies everywhere have reason to fear the phrase "I just wanna eat you up!" especially if immediately followed by heavy drooling. Then again, I suppose anyone should fear any words immediately followed by heavy drooling.

How many dead babies does it take to shingle a roof?

Depends on how thin you slice them...

Really? My ex loved when I said that.

Or at least that's what I think she said. It was hard to understand her once the chloroform started kicking in.
