Is the baby swinging vid real or cgi?

Sign in to disble this ad
For those that haven't seen it, this man swings what seems to be a real infant around by the kid's arms and legs. This means one arm or leg at a time for parts of the vid. It's vigorous. The kid seems very happy, but if this is real, I can see child abuse charges in this guy's future.

Google keywords deleted.

Even if the kid's joints are conditioned to be strong enough, and the kid was actually enjoying the ride, it's still abuse because of the risk [slippage] factor, no?

What if the guy is part of a family trapeze act? I know they start 'em out real young to be strong and fearless. What if the guy's Father did the same with him and so on and so forth? Hmmmm....

That's kinda what I was thinking. Plus, I'm willing to bet that the guy is not from the US/UK.

OK, my exposure to this was a guy's sports radio program. The guys are not morons, but I can see how some women might get upset. I'm going to strike the google keywords. I'm not sure what good that'll do, as this is today's "water cooler talk" it seems.

I've seen something similar. Was in a documentary about a 14-yr old weightlifting girl. She had a much younger sibling who they were chucking about. Pretty scarey!

(they were Russian (or Eastern European, can't remember which)

EDIT - She's from the Ukraine

Anyways - back on topic

It's not English, but the audio stinks, so I can't tell.

Sorry I brought this up, I just was wondering at first if it was fake. I've seen really believable cgi vids recently.

Mods, you might as well delete this thread.

Yeah, after your post I went over to read the comments over at the vid site, and a couple people were really p-ssed.

I guess I'm like Benjamin Strange, an "unfeeling analyzer".

I only had time to watch the first 1:30 of that vid, but wow, that father is a real ball buster!

When I was a kid, my Dad threw me in the water ["sink or swim"], but that's was it for me as far as psycho kid training stuff goes.

Anyone here have crazy parents like that?

If you watch the last 20 seconds of the first part (linked) you'll see the swinging part I was talking about.

Tho granted, after having watched the video you are talking about, it isnt anywhere near as bad.

However, the shadows around the baby make it seem fake (IMO)

she won't get "really muscly" tho, she's doing weightlifting, it isnt really associated with high muscle mass

Either way, she is only ~16 now. 2-3 more years will work wonders me thinks!

You can be sure that swinging a baby like that would do serious damage to its arms (it would literally rip the nerves apart, dislocate the shoulder, tear the rotator cuff muscles, etc).

Since the baby is smiling and sort of able to move its arms around, I would guess fake.

People who do MUCH less vigorous things to babies can unintentionally cause damage. They're fragile little creatures.

I don't know. If the regimen is slowly worked up in intensity, it may be possible. Not saying I'd ever do it let's be clear.
