Been traveling since Friday morning and I'm back in the Bay Area finally. Won't have much TB since I don't know when I'll have the internets.
All I have is my camping bag and I'll be traveling up and down California with a stop in Seattle at the end of the month. I'm probably going to buy a bass at guitar center in a few days and return it before I go back to NY. Sound like a plan?
Sorry if my post doesn't make much sense, I'm tired as hell.

Texas is dandy and all, but no state can hold a candle to California, especially Nor-Cal. You heading through Santa Rosa? Thats where I grew up!
And BTW, while you're out there you should hit up Bananas At Large, one of the best music shops around. Its in San Rafael.

It's in the same place the Stars Music used to be, across the street from the north end of the Santa Rosa Mall downtown. In fact, I haven't been there yet, but I think I might run up today since I have the day off and check it out.

Also have at least one change of clothes that is not cotton but instead something that can insulate even if it does get wet and also dries fast.
If you are mostly couch surfing but hanging outside a lot, still good to have one long sleeved shirt in the bag and a hat.

BTW its cool seeing a fellow TBer from my old neck of the woods! Partied in the RP plenty of times! Actually more in Cowtitty but they've always been pretty much one in the same to me!
Edit: The best though was Zone Music, I miss that place sooooooo much, especially when they had a license to sell Rickenbackers, thats the only place where I've ever played one, and most of the reason why I still want one so bad! But even afterwards I loved it, they had all the real professional gear!

Be sure to check out BassNW while up here, if you're still talking in the future tense.
If it's July, then send me a PM and I'll show you some good breweries and buy us some beers!

I've been here on and off since '87, I wouldn't be surprised if we ran into each other in the past. Cowtitty? LOL
Zone was awesome, I bought most of my gear there, or at Stars in SR or Petaluma when they were around. It's called Loud & Clear now, I haven't been in yet but it looks like they just do consignments now.
