Bacon or sausage?

Fixing breakfast for myself this morning, I got stuck and couldn't make up my mind...bacon or sausage? I like them both but at the moment, I'm not sure which one I like more.

Which one do you like more?

Bacon. However, I caveat that by saying when I lived in the U.K., I was blown away with the taste of their sausages. Maybe they don't use the same lips and a*holes we make them out of. But, for breakfast stateside...definitely bacon.

Nothing like it at all, not even close.
I cant really describe it. The best I can say is that it's like a cross between a really good burger and a half-inch thick pile of bacon wrapped up together in one package of salty ecstasy....

If you ever visit the Golden Harvest for breakfast in Lansing, MI (AND YOU SHOULD!!) make sure to get the sausage. Zane the chef cooks up the BEST home made sausage every morning. But Bacon is my vote especially at home with the choices available at the supermarket.

Agreed. I had to vote Bacon though.

I made a pork loin for Easter dinner that I wrapped in a pound and a half of thick sliced bacon. I smoked over hickory wood in my Weber for 2 hours......

The pork loin was good, but the smoked black crunchy bacon...... Oh MAN!

I think I may try to cook an entire unsliced slab of bacon that way. It was GOOD!!!!

bacon!

I have this recipe I make in the toaster oven with bacon...and its easy too

1 - hollow out a baguette or similar thin, long roll and cut a "cap" of one end
2. make a roll up of your favorite meat ( I use turkey, bacon) and then wrap mozarrella around the meat...it should be big enough to fit snugly inside the roll.
3. Coat the inside of the roll with your favorite pesto sauce and insert your meat roll.
4. Cap it and cover in foil. Place in CONVECTION toaster oven (if you don't have one already, go get one, life is too short) for about 10 minutes on 350...

When finished, you will have a beautiful, toasty, tasty, melting cheesy, meaty awesome stick.

Well, if we're exclusively referring to the breakfast variants, I think that bacon wins. But sausage comes in so many more varieties -- I mean, antipasti alone offers enough sausagosity to last a lifetime -- that I had to vote for sausage.

Ideally it'd be both.
