Meh. Hollywood will screw it up and water it down. . . I prefer the original.

That's what Alan Moore thinks......wait? that's what he thinks about everything he's done that's been made in to a movie....I remain optimistic, the site shows some of the sets, and they ripped them right out of the book. At least the artist will be happy. I think the guy from Law and Order should have got the part of the older Comedian though.

which guy from law and order? you mean d'onofrio?

and yeah, both from hell and v4v were great, i thought, and reasonably close to the source material, at least for a movie.

Not D'onfrio, but he might have made a good Night Owl. Dennis Farina. I'd swear the artist was looking right at the TV when he drew the character's face.

the cast has been known for at least a year now.

I still think the best comedian would have been Ron Perlman.
I am kinda glad they are going with mostly unknown or little known actors, with a few exceptions (sin-city,v4v) most films with big name actors usually hose the source material....

Anyone see the trailer for it at the dark knight? it does seem the actors are a bit young, but I'm still extremely exited...
Even the smashing pumpkins tune seemed to fit well...

This thread is quite a disappointment! I was ready to see a standard coochie-shaped inkblot with an angry bear bursting through.

Except for the fact that he is so god-awful f**king hideous.

Unless under 6 inches of makeup, that could never work.

I was thinking of the wise crackin "Johnner" character from Alien Resurrection...

He prectically looks like 'em without makeup
