Unhappy Baffled!

I haven't looked in "Off Topic" for a few years now. Now that I come back for another peek, I discover that I have no clue as to what you people are talking about in over 50% of the threads on here . In the other <50% of cases, I may know something of the subject, but I fail to get any of the jokes and comic references .

So, has OT now reached critical mass as far as 'cliquishness' is concerned, or have I simply become grey, withered and un-hip (is it hip to say hip, still ) and socially unaware, during my time away !?

I feel redundant ....

Topical they may be, baffling they are also (please read in a Yoda voice ).

I guess that I just started with the wrong threads . Maybe I should pick something more simple to ease my way back in. Any suggestions ...

yes we have a lot more trollz now...

But at any rate, welcome back and stick around for a while - it will all become clearer
On a serious note, I've taken a couple months off every now and then and when I come back it's like starting all over again every time.

I am usually in a complete state of befuddlement. That's demonstrated quite clearly in my pointless meandering posts.

It's not you, it's me.

If you walked into a room full of people all having conversations that started before you got there, would you expect to know what they're all talking about? Give your self a little while to acclimate become assimilated.

As for grilled cheese sammiches, I'll help you out. Read this and you will be enlightened...http://www.boston.com/lifestyle/rela...ed_cheese.html

Fender32, whether on TB, or other forums, here's a philosophy held by many:

Philosophy
"I don't know how to respond to the OP, so in the time honored tradition, I'm going to wade in, anyway."
