There's a guy down the street from me who practices in his back yard from time to time. I love the sound.

The only antidote is to stand out front of your house naked while playing an accordian to Jimmy Buffet songs. It will make the pipers go away trust me.

Appearently there was a funeral at a church down the street from me and they were playing bagpipes at it.

But what really pisses me off is that they never came over and asked to have a bagpipe and bass jam...

+1

A violin is the same way for me. Play it well, and it's fantastic. A 5-year-old playing for the first time makes me want to stab myself in the ear with...anything.

Full-ear headphones are your friend.

Or....

Become one with the pipes.

Plus... moving targets are harder to hit.

Q. What's the difference between a bagpipe and a trampoline?

A. People usually take their shoes off when they jump on a trampoline.

Q. What's perfect pitch?

A. When you throw an accordian in the dumpster and it lands on a bagpipe...

Bagpipes do my head in at times too.

Two curches right by my house, so lots of pipers around at weddings and funerals, the local pipe bands tend to warm up outside my house to.

They can be awesome tho, but, needs to be played right!

well... the next time your neighbor decides to play the bagpipes, put your amp at an open window, turn it up all the way-and play your bass, and have a "band battle" with him! lol! Two can play at that game, right???
either that or join them by getting a rifle and do a gun salute-like they do at them funerals
