Today I deposited a check into my Bank of America account worth $166. It says $100 is available now, and for the $66 it says credit pending, available to cover debits on 3/11 (today) and for withdrawal the next business day.
I want to purchase my Bonnaroo ticket and I need that $66. Is it really available for use today or will I get charged some stupid fee if I try to buy my ticket today?
Let me know if you have an answer!
-T.

If mailing, I'd go ahead. If handing, you may want to wait a day.
Do you have a savings account there too with overdraft protection? That's another angle.

If they didn't give you a hold receipt, you should be fine. (They're required by law to let you know if you have a hold on the check)
Since it says it can cover debits, that means it can cover electronic withdrawals from your account, i.e. purchasing the ticket online. Just look at your current "available balance" online. If it includes the $66, you can go ahead and make the purchase.
How do I know? I work for B of A.

I may be wrong though.
Hope you enjoy your stay in Tennessee!
