Hey, since I spend more time on here then the ESPN boards these days, I was curious if there are any baseball fans around? If so, post your favorite team...

Baseball.
And I love coaching teeball almost as much. Just had a game an hour ago. Unfortunately, my Son is out for a few games as he just broke his foot a couple days ago. Sucks. |

I'll start: Philadelphia Phillies. | I'm a Houston Astros fan and always will be... actually went to the Astros vs. Philies game last saturday (not yesterday saturday but the week before that.) great ending. but we got whooped the next day. Doesn't matter because my Philidelphia freak uncle was at that game with us and we got to rub it in his face all the way home...

It's based on the American version, but was developed in the 20's for training the military recruits. The bases got arranged slightly different so you got different distances to all the bases (to improve the sprinting and distance estimation), the ball made roughly the weight of a hand grenade, and the pitcher stands next to the batter making the throw upwards.

I tried liking the Seattle Mariners, but their current ownership group/front office is ridiculous. They don't really want to win anything more than 80-90 games a year and keep the roster full of nice guy who make funny commercials. People flock to the stadium to watch games, so these guys won't make any moves to be better. Just good enough to get their 3,000,000 fans in the seats every season.
