Is Bass Northwest a good place to visit?

I can't buy anything (except possibly a souvenir), but their bass selection seems to be very extensive. Is it worth a look?

Thanks!

I arrive in Seattle on the 29th of September at 10:30 PM. I pick up my car from Matson at Terminal 25 the following morning. My nephew and I will be in town for a few hours before driving to Grants Pass, OR.

I was there at Christmas a couple of years ago and loved it, great place.

Got the T-shirt and bumperstickers!

I would recommend it, if you're a bass player in the neighborhood. It's like a magical wonderland. I live on the other side of the state now, but when I lived in Seattle, I was there every time I was near Pioneer Square.

Thanks for your responses! Bass Northwest is the first major stop of our trip (after I pick up my car)

It seems like a nice place, but I never get treated all that great when I go in. They just blow me off and continue doing other things while I look around. Maybe I'll stuff my wallet with a $100 bill wrapped around a bunch of $1's and drop it on the floor in front of one of their salesguys?

I would suggest you take highway 520 across the water to Bellevue and go say hello to Mike Lull. I spent $50 on a setup, but he treated me like I was spending $50,000 in his store.

Mike's shop won't have as much eye candy as BassNW, but if you can talk yourself into a tour of the back room it'll be worth every extra penny you spend for gas to get there!

You might be able to pick up a bass with a neck that has a "very sleek feel", if you're lucky.

Bass NW is a cool store but... I gotta say "+1" to everything you stated. I always get that same indifferent treatment... but I'm such a gear whore I never let it stop me!!
