Mods, if this is against the rules please let me know...but I know we helped out GE's friend last year so thought we could help out this guy.

IF YOU WANT THE LINK, PLEASE PM ME...IF THE MODS SAY IT IS OK TO POST THE LINK, I WILL DO SO. THANKS!!

I know that TB is a pretty close group, especially when it comes to supporting a bassist!! This is one of my good friend's bassist. He lives in Pleasant Grove, AL...if you have seen the pictures you can understand. He was in his basement when the tornado hit and the only part of the house that wasn't completely destroyed was the area he was in....so...one of his friends set up an account so he can buy a new bass. He lost all of his equipment: bass, amp, cables, pedals, etc.

If any TBers want to help out with strings, stands, picks, etc...please let me know and I will be happy to get everything to him.

I can send out my paypal address and go buy stuff from GC and put your name and email address on it or phone number so he can personally thank you or however you want to do it. (I have over 100 feedbacks on TB and many of you know me.)

Please see below and if nothing else, leave a comment for him to know we are pulling for him!!!

Peace,
Dirk

Per the site:
My friend Wade lost his house and all possessions in a tornado on 4/27/11. Most importantly, he and his family are alive and well - it was a very strong storm that killed 25 people in his neighborhood just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Wade plays bass in a really great band who just got their feet off the ground and are playing their first gigs. Unfortunately, they are grounded until Wade is able to replace the instrument he lost in the storm. This is a fund to raise money to help Wade replace his bass guitar. Please contribute whatever you can to share in this effort. Just think, every time Wade plays his new axe, he will send all of our love back out into the world through his music... Thank you very much, every little bit helps!

I have some stands I can donate. How about this, if I have any money leftover after I take my gf to the movies, I'll put it towards a new bass.

Gang, I'm sorry, but these types of threads are a no-no at TB. There have been problems with them in the past, and we're not going to open ourselves back up to that.
