Bassists and Cats

Sign in to disble this ad
Am I the only one who has noticed that bassists (or musicians in general) have an odd affinity with cats? I love my cat, and I am always seeing posts here of peoples equipment with cats hanging around. So if you love or hate cats, lets see what you think.

I'm content that our last cat passed away last year and we're cat-free. I don't actively dislike them, but I'm highly indifferent to them. I don't need cats around the house...and my wife feels the same way.

If we didn't have a youngest daughter that is ga-ga about anything fuzzy, we'd never have had a cat in the house. she's in college now, so the cat is not replaceable.

I'm not a fan of cats, but what does fuel my unlove for cats is that I'm highly allergic to them.

and the thought if you own a cat, you also own a box of poop does not sit well with me.

dogs are more fun.

Three cats, three dogs, eleven (I think) snakes, about a dozen fish.

And I've had to talk myself out of getting a sugar glider on more than one occasion. I'm a pet person. (translation: I'm a sucker for anything that begs)

Dogs.
And cats.
And in my house, they all get along.

Four boxes of poop. And a backyard full of dog****. Goes with the territory. IMO, they're more rewarding and easier to deal with than kids.

we dont have a yard full of poop. we live near a pond and my dog will normally walk down to the pond an poop, we didnt train him to do that, i guess he just likes to look at the lake while pooping.

Dogs, can't stand cats, they're very boring animals unless they were bred from lolcats

Two cats (sisters). My son loves 'em and they make me laugh almost every day. I like dogs just fine, but don't want to go through what it takes to take care of one, and I like it that I can have flower beds around the fenceline in my backyard.

Edit: added gratuitous cute cat pic
