i took 2 years of it in high school. lovely language. didnt keep up with it much, but im miles ahead of anyone that doesnt sign. my syntax is terrible, but thats not what im after here.

which hand do you use to finger spell?

im right handed, but i spell lefty. i play righty, i always wore my watch on my right arm, i keep my wallet in my right pocket, i even part(ed) my hair to the right. some of those arent right handed traits, but i certainly do everything in that direction. and yet, i signed left handed, to the hilarity of my ASL teacher.

the only thing i could ever come back with was that it was a guitar thing. left hand makes the shapes, does all the pattern type moving. right hand swings a pick or slaps some strings.

anyone else have this particularly specific issue?
