I JUST beat Halo Reach yesterday. It was alright. They will never top Halo 2.

Easily my favorite gaming franchise since I first saw the E3 2000 trailer running in a loop at a computer store. Sat there for about three loops before I was able to pick my jaw up off the floor.

+1 all the way. I had Halo 2 about a week and half before street date. Walmart made a goof and put it up a little bit early, despite the warning label stating not to release before 11/09/2004. Still play it to this day via system link and occasionally xbox kai.

Anyone played the Marathon triliogy? Halo borrows very heavily from them. Mjonlir cyborgs, dual wielding, the magnum and plasma pistols, the rocket launcher, the interior design on levels like The Silent Cartographer, Cortana, a lot of the multiplayer modes. I like The Marathon trilogy's story better though, personally, although the Halo series is obviously a lot prettier.

I play both. My gamer tag if anyone wants to add me is Jason Slade. My kids is Kenosis2Blood but if you add him, go easy on him as he is 8 and may not be as good as some of you full time players. Actually, now that I have said, go easy on me too as he is better than me. I suck but I have fun playing.

Beat it with my dad last week, though I've had it for months. Crappy campaign, though online and firefight are good. Halo 2 IS the greatest of the series.

To me, the stories in Halo: CE and Reach were the best. The presentation was just awesome. Halo 2 was where it was at for multiplayer though. I actually like Halo 3s MP more but I didn't play it as much.
