The wife was away a couple of weeks ago, so I got the BBQ out to cook some steaks. It took some work to dig it out of the snow, and the cover was frozen on, but I got it working!

I'm anxiously awaiting the weather here to level out for a few days. The lady friend & I are looking forward to steaks on the sun deck here. Only gas grills, but hey-it's better than no grill.

I've also found a place that sells prime cut beef and luckily enough-it's just down the street from me. Good for me, bad for my paycheck.

Mmmm...sounds like a good day. Steaks, lady friend, good beer [in which i'm indulging now, #4 to be exact], and the scenery from the sundeck [great view of Chicago & Lake Michigan].

Sunday ended up being the first grill of the year for me. My burgers were excellent.

Hehe, we cleaned our little Weber tabletop grill last night. But we use our JennAir quite a bit, so we don't need to wait for good weather to BBQ.

One thing I miss about living up north, is a a good cold weather BBQ. It is satisfying to know that you will still, cook, eat, and have a good time regardless of what Mother Nature throws at you.

I've grilled in the cold, pouring rain before. It was a joy when I arranged a cover to stop the rain getting on the food. I was wondefully warm out there!
