I say FL by ~10.

Edit: Why? Because they don't play defense in the Big 12.

I concur with your reason, but not the spread.

I'm thinking more along the lines of a 17-20 point spread.

They REALLY don't play D in the big 12, and this will hurt them on BOTH sides of the ball - their offense isn't ready to deal with what Florida will lay on them, and their defense is not built to stop the power game that Florida will put on the field.

Watching Texas struggle to finish off OSU and Texas Tech get manhandled by Old Miss pretty much confirmed my suspicions about the Big 12.

We already got a thread for the bowl games. We don't need another. Might as well call this one "I love the Gators".

Note to Bama guys....I did not start this thread.

I don't care about either team, but it should be a fun game to watch. I don't care about any BCS titles, I just enjoy watching competitive games.

The line is a conservative UF -4.5... I would have thought it would be more than that, given the hype surrounding the Gators.

Let's all flip over to this thread.

The other one became a "it rains more here" J.O.S.

The championship game deserves it's own thread, as the rest of the bowls mean little these days.

Good point on comment #1. I wouldn't discount the rest of the bowls though just because the BCS hasn't christened them as "worthy". I enjoyed several of the bowl games that the BCS didn't get their money grubbing paws on.

But yes, this is the big one for us Gator fans this year. Next year, if the Gators fail to make it to the CG, it will have much less appeal to me.

really excited about the game.

i'm not going to guess on the margin of victory, but i do expect florida to win. the defense is well prepared, and the big 12 really got exposed in bowl season.

So let Utah play the winner of tomorrow's game, and let's be done with it...

That guy gets paid millions [yes, millions per year] to write utter garbage at ESPN.com. Utah wouldn't survive in a conference like the SEC. They just don't have the athletes.

========================

The Big 12 has been scoring about 25% less in the bowl games.

He gets paid millions (yes, millions) because millions of people read and enjoy his stuff.

And the "Utah doesn't have athletes" thing is tired. You are coming into this conversation very late. Educate yourself on Utah football. They have been playing the game at a very high level for years.

Oh yeah, these "non-athletes" kicked the SEC runner-up's ass one week ago.

Then that winner plays USC?
