I haven't seen them play since the "Hello Nasty" tour, and they were excellent, and just seen like genuine likeable guys.

I hope he recovers. Things today aren't like they were in the 70's & 80's with cancer. Cancer used to be a guaranteed death sentence back in the day. People are beating it more and more these days. He may be able to beat this and keep on going for many years.
Let's hope. Cancer is no way to go.
