For $100 these cans will far out perform Beats:

I'm no audiophile, but can anyone explain to me why the Dr. Dre headphones are worth four times as much as the ones Boot posted?

$400 for some headphones that you're gonna plug into your ipod seems a little excessive.

Grado SR80i, can be had for ~$80 and sound way better. Beats are over priced rubbish.

a marketing trend, always genius. 35 for 7 dollar shirt. maybe 200 for a 20 pair of shoes.
lol if you feel paying 200$ for a 20$ pair of headphones is amazing.

then i also know about these wonderful toothpicks.

they go for 10$ a piece but man they are great.

then again earbuds are the norm but incredibly horrible. So jumping up to headphones can then be impressive.

I prefer some brand names over many, just because they are the latest and greatest and hold status. Marketing trends again have always amazed me.
