They might be... A pilot friend of mine picked them up in China. Still pretty rad.

Noise cancelling like a mofo & droppin the beats as I sit in my cube listening to Electric Wizard. Total fashion statement. The other programmers are super jealous... I can tell.

Those headphones are what my 15 year old niece wanted for xmas... She got an IPhone to use them with from her mother.
I just hope she doesn't break the damn things. My Sony MDR-V6s were 1/3 the price and sound 5 times better, IMO.
But to each their own of course! Glad you like them.

One thread about beats headphones and now they're popping up on the left. Google has their stuff dialed!

I got the ibeats earbuds for Christmas from my girlfriend a few years ago and they're still going strong. Still sound great and I've had no issues with them outside even in the winnipeg climate.

I'd recommend them for sure but I got them as a gift and didn't really shop around.

They're absolutely terrible for any musical use.
If you just want to parade around showing you can afford them, they're fine.

They're good for hip hop and dubstep but that's about it.

I'll stick with my AKG cans, thank you very much.

They're real tight on my huge noggin. Is that because they're made for kids?

FWIW, bass-heavy music sounds awesome through them; not just hip hop.

That is their Raison D'etre.
Hyped bass. Wishy-washy mid presence, and artificial highs.

This! I've had my V6 (Made in Japan) since 1992 and they perform well for studio work. I recently got a 7506 (also a Studio Monitor) and both blow the Dre's out of the water sound quality wise.

A friend of mine has a pair, and they sound pretty good, and they're comfortable. That said, they don't sound better than the AKGs I've been using for fifteen years.

I'm a fan of my Bose OE2 headphones. I listen to them every day at work while writing software.

The ear buds that came with my Galaxy SII Skyrocket sound better than the Beats ear buds my brothers wife bought him. Everyone that compared the two agreed.

Personally I'd rather save $150 and get a nice set of skullcandies. However, if you really like them and they're worth it to you, then more power to you. As long as you aren't missing your rent to afford them then whatever.

Overrated, overpriced...granted, Dr. Dre could sell ice to an eskimo.

Get yourself a nice pair of Grados or Sennheisers...your ears thank you in advance

God no. If Beats are fashion phones, then SkullCandies are Haute Couture in the worst possible way.
