Beavis and Butthead DVDs Suck :(

Sign in to disble this ad
So I bought the first set of the "Mike Judge cuts" Beavis and Butthead episodes, and I am seriously miffed! Not only does it cut out a ton of episodes, but it cuts tons of scenes from the episodes already on there!

Worst of all, there are no music videos. Am I the only guy that liked when they made fun of videos? It was like Mystery Science Theater for sucky music vids.

Save your money and wait for the actual TV show to be released. These DVDs are a joke.

Without the music videos each episode must only be about 5 minutes long!

The video commentary is what made the show. Like when they were watching Poison and Beavis said.....These chicks ROCK!!

I was let down as well when I bought these DVDs. However, it would probably be too expensive for them to put all the music videos on there. I think they put a select handfull on the bonus discs.

I guess, but they must have had the rights to do those music vids in the first place right?

Yes but the license fee for a TV show is for the "showing" and not for the number of people seeing the show. The license fee for DVDs would be for the number of DVDs sold ... and much greater fee.

I disagree. It was almost always pretty lame.

But the one time they made me literally laugh out loud was genius. They went to adopt a dog and wanted a big, scary, mean dog that they could train to bite things that suck.

So the test to see if the dog had the right personality was for Beavis to stick his hand in the cage and if the dog didn't maul him, it was a wimp.

They find a dog that attacks Beavis and go to do the paperwork. Butthead and the pound lady calmly fill out paperwork while Beavis screams and is thrashed all over the room around them.

It doesn't sound funny written out. But I laughed really hard watching it. Most of their shows I just looked at the for a little while and wondered why they were on the air.
